Orgain Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Banana Protein Bread

I love making and eating banana bread, I mean, even pre-pandemic I loved everything banana bread (that is saying a lot, am I right?) I typically add chocolate chips, or cocoa nibs, sometimes walnuts, cranberries, or even pour a sweet glaze on top. However, this uber chocolaty, protein packed version cannot be beat!
*Pro tip: Add almond butter on each slice for even more protein, or simply for a good time 😉


  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil (I’ve used coconut oil, ghee and unsalted butter – all work great!)
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas (I freeze mine and microwave them in their skins for 3 minutes)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cream oil and sugar
  • Crush bananas and then add the eggs and vanilla, mix well
  • Sift flour and baking powder
  • Add dry ingredient to the wet, mix well
  • Fold in chocolate chips
  • Pour into a parchment lined loaf pan, garnish with more chocolate chips if desired
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes
